My year 2022:
Sci-fi and erotism
The pandemy has been rough for all of us puppeteers. I have been lucky, thanks for my three years grant. I have been able to work with my shows during the last years quite peacefully.
Right now I work as a puppeteer and actor in a show called Yksin ihminen? (Human alone?), directed by Maiju Tainio. It is a science fiction story about our home city Turku long away in the future. I really enjoy working with these exciting, small puppets, made by Jenni Rutanen. Premiere will be in Janury in Tehdas Teatteri.
One my big tasks in year 2022 is my soloshow Be my Querelle which will be translated in English. The premiere will be in the end of the year and after that I hope to get some invitations abroad. Where, that we’ll see soon.
Be my Querelle is puppetshow about lust, loneliness and sailors. The manuscript of the show is freely inspired of the literal world of French writer Jean Genet. And of course it is full of homoerotic moments and outspoken sexual text.
